This painting won first in the juried Beaux Arts Exhibition in Brampton.

The shiny red crimson apple and the open lip stick case, which displays its magnificent coral pigment, may speak of more than just a still life, but perhaps suggests an underlying disquieting moment of contemplation as to whether to give in to the temptation, or to hastily take leave.
